A More Connected Approach

Children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing are shaped by relationships, experiences, development and the environments in which they grow.

Voice and Minds Therapy Hub is developing a multidisciplinary model of support designed to connect psychological wellbeing, emotional development, communication, family support and everyday development — bringing together professionals, families and the wider environments that influence a child’s life.

One child · One connected system

The child at the centre of an interconnected model of support.

Family, therapeutic support, education and everyday life are not separate categories. Our model is designed to consider them together.

Why a More Connected Model?

Support can become fragmented when different needs are considered in isolation.

Children and families may encounter many different professionals, services and environments — and these systems do not always speak to one another. Psychological, developmental, communication, family and educational needs are often addressed separately, even though a child experiences them together.

Our approach is designed to promote greater continuity, collaboration and shared understanding across the different environments that shape a child’s life.

Family & Caregivers

Supporting a child also means recognising the wellbeing of the people who care for them.

Parents and caregivers are not passive recipients of support. They are active participants within the wider support system. The Hub will provide counselling, psychologically informed support and practical guidance for families.
